Recently, we had the chance to talk about skin and self confidence with Rosette Luve, the gorgeous and talented Canadian singer, songwriter, actor and dancer.
Question: What is the number one skin issue you struggled with growing up?
Rosette: Being that I am of mixed ethnicity, I’ve always had to deal with uneven skin tone. And acne here and there, especially in my T-Zone area.
Question: What is the one piece of advice you have for someone who is self conscious about their looks?
Rosette: Depends—if your a teen going through puberty, it’s quite normal to get acne, since you are going through hormonal changes within the body. My advice would be, if it’s serious enough to affect the way you feel and think about your self, to go see your doctor—or better yet, someone like Rita from Pure Light to help maintain and take care of your skin. You’re never too young to start. It’s better to take notice and take care of your skin at an early age.
Question: Is there a person you look up to who has helped you become who you are today?
Rosette: My mother and father. They raised me to be a strong, confident person, always giving me a positive outlook on life.
Question: What is the highlight of your career, to date?
Rosette: The Highlight of the my career thus far is when I collaborated with Timbaland for my song “Amnesia,” which went Gold nationally.
Question: What are you working on right now?
Rosette: I just recently signed on to Sony/Ultra Records and we are working on my new album. We are coming out with my newest single “Rain.” Join me on Facebook or Twitter, or check out my website, for more info about me and my music.
Question: Is there any particular skin treatment you have experienced that you love and would recommend?
Rosette: Yes! I love microdermabrasion treatments. They completely rejuvenate my skin!
Question: Is there a skin care product you rave about to people?
Rosette: I love the Skin Brightening Complexion Treatment I was recommended at Pure Light, by DCL. It completely evens my skin tone. Plus, I love the AHA 20% pads by DCL, as well as the mini peels that I can do at home—also recommended and sold at Pure Light.
