Amazing Race Canada showcases contestants travelling around the world competing for first place. One of our clients, Ryan Steele, had the chance to compete in the race of a lifetime.
Question: When you were competing on Amazing Race Canada, what was the number one thing that pushed you to keep going?
Ryan: The number one thing that pushed me to keep going was adrenaline. I had never experienced adrenaline like this before in my life and it was insane. I didn’t need sleep, food, or anything. My body kicked into some unknown level and I couldn’t see anything but the finish line.
Question: What was the hardest challenge for you?
Ryan: The hardest challenge for me was, oddly enough, the grilled cheese challenge. We were so excited for a food challenge and thought we would nail it. Instead we ate grilled cheese sandwiches for hours in the pouring rain and eventually had to switch detours. Thank goodness for non-elimination rounds!
Question: Has participating in the Amazing Race Canada change you on a deeper level?
Ryan: Doing the Amazing Race has brought a new level of pride to my life. When I look back and think of all the crazy things we did and insane amount of pressure we were under, I couldn’t be more satisfied. I am usually a guy who sits on the couch with a glass of wine watching reality television, so to be the guy pushing himself on the TV is highly rewarding and something I’ll take with me for the rest of my life
